Description:

Solar technology is bringing clean drinking water, reliable crop irrigation, and community electrical service to communities in remote and isolated regions of Africa. Village involvement and organization empowers the community and guarantees a well-maintained PV installation. This Regional Solar Program (PRS), the most ambitious PV program undertaken by the European Union, will develop 540kWp of solar power for use in 330 water pumping stations, 240 community lighting systems, 63 refrigeration services, and 36 battery recharging stations.
